Guest guest
This looks like it'd be tasty if you could get some vegan sugar or maybe another vegan sweetner? yum!! Now I want some apple butter. hehe. A Sweet Apple Butter Makes 4 Cups 8 apples - peeled, cored and chopped 4 cups white sugar 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1/4 teaspoon salt Directions Fill a slow cooker with diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Cover, and cook on high for 1 hour. Reduce heat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 12 hours, or until thick and dark golden in color. Fill small jars with hot apple butter, leaving about 3/4 inch space at the top.
Guest guest
hey there, this can be made with almost no sugar at all. when we make it we fill a pot with apples and as we are adding them we sprinkle a little sugar and alot of cinnamon in layers as we are adding them, then add just enough water to to get a little steam and keep them from sticking and cook slowly for a few hours. i do like the crockpot idea and will definaly have to try that next year. don't forget if you want this to keep for any time you will have to process in a canner if not i would use with in a month if in the fridge and you could probably freeze it also. peace jeff CHERRIE JACOBSEN wrote: > This looks like it'd be tasty if you could get some vegan sugar or maybe another vegan sweetner? yum!!
