Yep, but there are things you can do to bring that count down. Make your own

beans instead of using canned is the best, as most of the salt came from the

beans in this particular recipe. Then check the salsa brand that you use -

many are also high in salt. If you have a food processor you can make up

your own with a few simple ingredients and eliminate all that salt, too.

 

It's amazing how high the sodium count is in the various packaged foods we

eat, which is why I'm always reading labels and making from scratch as often

as I can. For many people, they never realize how much salt they're eating

until they see it in black and white, like in a recipe that includes the

nutritional information, like Mastercook includes.
