OT - fake cheese??

They're sneaky that way. Galaxy makes that rice cheese, right? Same as the

Veggie Slices and Veggie Shreds. They all have casein hidden in the

ingredient list.

 

But Galaxy *does* also make vegan cheese, but none of the stores around here

sell it, not even the HFS. The labels will say Vegan Slices and Vegan Shred.

Also Toffuti (or however one spells it) is vegan. It doesn't really melt,

though, although it

does go nice and soft.

I was really surprised when I bought Galaxy cheese. I thought I had

at last found the answer to a vegen cheese. Couldn't believe it when

I read " whey " or something like that on the label. What's the point?

Why make it if you're going to put milk in it. I've looked for the

follow your heart before, but it must not be in Waco yet. There is

small health food section in our Drug Emporium that carries Vegenaise

in a refrigerated case, so maybe I could ask them if they could order

it. Same people make it, right?
