Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just joined your group yesterday and I have a question. I'm currently looking to buy a crockpot and I just found out that there are some crockpots that contain lead. One of the companies that showed up to be using lead is Rival and that's exactly the one brand I was thinking about buying. Do you have any recommendations in the kind and brand of crockpot I should get?

It's been used for hundreds of years. There *are* some lead-free ceramics out there, but they're very expensive to make and used mostly in manufacturing of electronics. There's probably lead in your drinking water; lead in the dirt your vegetables grew in. Lead is all around us. I wouldn't worry about cooking in ceramic or drinking coffee form a hot ceramic mug.
