My wife and I will be in St. Clairsville Ohio for a

few weeks in the Tri-State area not far from Wheeling.

Does anyone know of any vegan freindly restaurants in

the area. My wife's family are all dairy farmers and

heavy meat eaters so I need some friendly vegan

options. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

I don't know if they have these in Ohio, but I just

got back from a trip and I noticed this chain in the

Detroit Airport and the Minneapolis Airport, I believe

they are based in Minneapolis, being from the West

Coast I'd never seen them before...They aren't really

a sit-down place, but they might be a good place to

pick something up if you're desperate. It's a coffee

shop called Caribou Coffee, or Coffee Caribou.

Anyway, in the airport I noticed they had vegan tofu

salad wraps as well as a vegan tofu black bean corn

salad. Something to keep in mind while you travel I

guess.

Good luck.

Yes, I live here - it is Caribou Coffee -I have had them - they are delicious -

we are fortunate. I fly a lot, so this comes in handy. I brought one on a no

food flight recently and wished I had brought more for the droolers.

Perfect timing with these links! I'm going to be in Bloomington for a workshop

in mid June and now I can find some vegan dining options.

Thanks!

You may want to try checking a few websites before you go.

Craig, I live in the twin cities, actually just across the river from

Bloomington. There are actually several good vegetarian and vegan

restaurants here in the metro.

The Good Earth restaurant is in Edina, which is next door to

Bloomington. Its located in the Galleria, off York Ave half mile or so

north of 494. Their website is http://www.goodearthmn.com/

There is also Q'Cumbers, an all you can eat soup and salad bar. They

have a huge salad bar, along with all kinds of breads, and several

kinds of soups of which at least two are vegetarian. They also have a

small hot food bar, with stuff like chicken, potatos and gravy, some

sort of pasta and sauce and some sort of mexian style dish. All you

can eat for under 10 dollars. They are on France Ave. just north of

494 also and not far from the Good Earth. York and France are just a

few blocks apart.

There is a really good Thai food place that is a little known gem

called Ketsana's. Its on Lyndale and 76th. Its technically in

Richfield, a couple of blocks north of 494.

There are also a ton of other restaurants that serve vegetarian/vegan

dishes. Here is a big list. It even lists the grocery stores since

they all have good sized natural food sections.

ocation_id=13

I never thought about it before, but after looking at that list, Ive

realized the twin cities is a good place to be vegetarian. lol Hope

you enjoy your visit.

take care, caryl

Hi. I'm a newbie to this group. My comment is, " STOP! You're

making me hungry. "

Off topic: Does anyone know how to change my settings to digest mail

instead of individual? I looked for a link, but can't find one.

Thanks.

Hi Caryl,

I should have been more specific... the workshop is in Bloomington Indiana! Wish

I had known about these places a few years ago when I was performing in the twin

cities.

Cheers,
