Guest guest
In this summer heat we have a lot of new members joining up. Unfortunately, the list itself has been super slow, especially after some members complained we were posting copyright recipes from books, even though we accredited the recipes to their creators. I do suggest that every veg who owns a slow cooker get Robin Robertson's book, Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker, the only veg slow cooker book I own. I have read that there are a few others out there for vegetarians, but many recipes start with either " take one can of condensed cream of _ soup. . . " or else ends with adding cups of shredded cheese. Robin's book is pretty safe for vegans and I don't even remember if I had to change any of her recipes around to make them vegan, only to eliminate the oils in sautéing, to make them McDougall-safe. Even though no new recipe has been posted in a long time, our Message archives and the File sections have loads of recipes. And if you have a favorite veg slow cooker recipe, feel free to share it with us, being sure to attribute the author if it's not one of your own developing. We can always use fresh recipes!
