Sometime this week, I will publish an article in here from the Globe and

Mail . . . I am going to make it a link from my site, like Anji's . . . it's

a very similar article called " What if they liked the taste of human flesh? "

It was written in 1991 and was featured in the Facts & Argument section, by

Michael West (an astronomer at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical

Astrophysics, University of Toronto). I'll let you guys know soon, it's a

cool article.

 

If you guys want to read a book that was starting to " plant the seeds " of

animal rights, try Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke (the guy who wrote

2001: A Space Odyssey) . . . it's about aliens who come to earth and tell us

about what a bad job we are doing and how we have to be nicer to animals and

stuff like that (the part about the Bullfight is great!)

 

There was a Twilight Zone episode that was similar but more tragic ( " How to

Serve Man " ) about these aliens who came down to " help man, " and gave them

this book, " How to serve man, " but it turned out to be a cook book!

reflect on the scenario of the tables being turned on us where we, humans,

are

the ones being mass slaughtered and exploited. If we were in a situation to

have

to explain why it's not ethical to do that to us, we would certainly have to

re-examine our own beliefs and the excuses we presently use to defend the

mass

slaughtering and exploitation non-human animals.
