Okay, your argument was a good one, and I agree, no one (man or animal) should endure the pain and suffering of a research animal. However, what if we decided as a society (and I am sure that most of us would agree that we wouldn't support such behaviour), that we must continue to conduct medical research in the manner in which we are presently, who would be the likely research animal?
