Guest guest
Hey good People, After having gone through that Fur article on Puff Daddy and Nija, I am feeling pretty ill. I have a link to puff daddy's website on my own site (because it's a pretty rockin' flash site), but, it's coming off. That bastard is a completely vain, selfish, sadistic, heartless piece of shit! Nija was making statements about the " connection " that Native and Black Americans have to the fur industry. First of all, I don't think one person, or even one hundred thousand can speak for a whole race of people. People are morally evolving everyday, and to label an entire race of people as being morally regressive is an insult to everyone's intelligence. I have to admit, I take my politics a little further when it comes to my anti-fur stance. In my opinion, it doesn't matter whose livelihood depends on the fur industry, killing is killing is killing. And if it was okay to do it hundreds of years ago, that doesn't make it okay to do it now. Tradition , custom and heritage are nowhere near as important as growing morally and ethically as a civilization. One of the other statements I read in the article had something to do with " social causes. " Nija said, " If I was ever addressed by one of those PeTA people, I can point them to some causes that are more important than animals, " she continues. " What about people? " What about people. That's all we have been doing for the past 40,000 or so years, is looking out for PEOPLE! Anti-animal people always use that argument, and then pro-animal people always get their backs up against the wall. Well, guess what? That's a speciesist argument! We hear about racism, sexism, thisism, thatism, most people who cry persecution are persecutors themselves. Everytime they sit down to have a meal, if there is meat on the table, then, in my opinion, they have no right to cry persecution. In most cases, I see that " human causes " are no where close to the injustices being carried out against animals. I do not agree with any atrocity being carried out against any animal, human or not, but it is so much easier for me to sympathize with animals and children, who are completely innocent. People aren't more important than other animals, let's get that straight. Next topic? Vivisection ... should we use criminals as research tools?
