RE: Technology provides new alternative to classro om dissection

Hi everyone. Just my humble opinion, but I think it's about time educators

stopped teaching children that it's ok - even desirable, to kill and cut up

animals. Especially in the light of Anji's mailing yesterday mentioning the

common progression from animal abuse to human abuse. If kids are allowed to

get away with torturing animals then the message is clear, it's ok to do

pretty much as you like. That can't be right. Here in the UK recently a

pair of mindless little shits killed seven toads with a blowtorch. They

were prosecuted and given four months detention and banned from keeping

animals for fifteen years - which on the face of it sounds pretty good,

until you consider that this was a more lenient sentence than that given to

AR protesters who threw mud during demonstrations at Hillgrove Farm.
