Hi yall

Just wanted to share my special feelings about last night. Hmm, I dont think I

will be attending anymore of Planet Vegans events.

It was all too much fun and we laughed way too hard. Paul was too funny and it

was all too nice. My stomach hurts now! And well, I think the food was a bit too

tasty for me to handle. Yeh, I think Im going back to eating Death at McDonalds.

Oh I never really did- well, Im going to start. No more veg*nism.

Haha! just kidding. Please! as if.

Anyhew- last night was a blast - but geesh lets quit the complaining about the

steep prices at Le Commensal- oh-was that me complaining? Ah well, really- I

guess $15.85 is reasonable for a plate of food smaller than a happy meal if its

healthy right?

Get real! I just wonder what message that resaturant sends to

non-vegetarians/vegans when they go there. That its expensive and inconvenient

to eat well?

Thankfully I have the cookbooks 'Vegan Vittles' and 'How it All Vegan' to help

me make lovely meals as such for a third of the price.

Oh was I complaining again? I guess Im just sorry at myself for leaving a lentil

on my plate last night. I think it cost me a dollar.

(Anyone into opening a cool vegan restaurant man?)

ahh anyhew...

Anji made it all up to me by sending me home with some of her (and Pauls)

homemade date suares that rock! That made it all worth while.

Besides all that stuff- I guess it was an alright night after all. (too much

laughing though, I think that we should be MORE SERIOUS!!!)

But Oh- Also we all saw the book RATTLING THE CAGE for sale at Worlds Biggest!

Already! Cool eh? Anji be sure to post a review once youve finished it.

C'est tout. Ce ne'st pas easy being verte.

Peace,

Bliss.

Well not to worry because I have resigned from event planning activities. From

now on there will be brunch on Sundays as per usual and if anyone wants to come

they're welcome to...

The reason I chose Le Commensal is because I felt that the large variety of

foods to choose from would be appropriate and satisfy each person in a large

group. I chose it over OK Health because I know that greasy fake-meat Chinese is

not Vik's favourite. Vik however did not end up attending, _and_ it did not end

up being a large group, as I had of course hoped, so there we were... at Le

Commensal. Personally I spent less there than I usually do at OK Health, but

that's not really the point.

I would just like to say, that we should all probably count our lucky stars that

we even have vegetarian restaurants to choose from. I'm sure that there are

people on this list from who-knows-where that would be so happy to have the

choice that we do. People who have to travel far and wide just to get to that

one veg restaurant, or to that one grocery store that sells tofu... people that

may at times feel alone because they do not have so many, or any, like-minded

people in their area to connect with and have these types of events with. I am

grateful, and I always have an hour or two to spend with people 'like me'. And

if I have to spend a couple extra bucks at Le Com, well at least it's there if I

feel like it.
