I read the article that anji posted regarding lower quality of life in areas where there are pig farms/slaughterhouses.. Well, i live at niagara & tecumseth (king & bathurst area) and have a pig slaughterhouse at the end of my street--the stench is horrid, not to mention that i have to try block the very thought of it out of my mind every day. I can't believe that its even legal to have such a thing in a residential city neighbourhood. Does anyone know what steps i can take to try and get them the hell outta here? Do i start a petition in the neighbourhood? I would like to do something about it, but have no idea where to start. If anyone has any ideas or advice, I would really appreciate it. thanks! kim.
