Guest guest
Hey Anthony, Yes I saw it,and you were quite accurate in your advanced assessment. However several good points were made, and it was nice to learn that The State of California is leading the way in law making. They have cruelty toward animals as a felony offence as opposed to a misdemeanor. A senator for Calf. said anyone who murders a dog then some cats is not a fit person to be in society. Now if only two paradigm shifts could now appear.1-Longer sentences to those convicted 2-Extension of cruelty laws to include farm animals......and for that matter research facilities.Love, and may this troubled planet one day be blessed with the light of reason and compassion. Guest guest
Howdy, Is this what you meant, Vik? ----------- Investigative Reports:The Cruelty Connection. Airs Wednesday, February 23 at 9pm ET/6pm PT Law enforcement agents investigate the possibility that violent criminals often begin their life of deviant behavior by treating animals cruelly, then later learn to lash out at humans. We also hear from FBI agents who believe that some animal abusers eventually develop into serial killers. [NR] ----------- I would have tried to see it, but I'm not so impressed by the intro. They don't seem interested in the plight of animals at all, just the kind of abuse that leads to violence toward humans. Basically, a selfish interest at best, and more likely just another gratuitous, sensational side-dish in the buffet of violence and conformity that we call Television. It will essentially fill the niche of COPS but for pseudo-intellectuals. You might think I'm being harsh on Television programming and people in general, but they really are likely to spend an hour delivering the same anecdotal " human element " over and over again to illustrate a simple premise that could be explained to anyone in 5 minutes. Please excuse my negativity, but I feel that TV serves only to distort reality into a simplific perception that comforts people into subscribing to normality. It's that kind of massaged reasoning that allows people to not rationalize the torture of animals for tasty food, and keeps them from understanding that the food isn't really that tasty if you're not addicted/conditioned to it. There's a point that I'll bet they miss, and here it is. Allowing ourselves to mistreat animals for food pleasure makes for a social environment where hurting people for fun or profit can be easily rationalized. If children are taught to squelch their natural empathy for animals, it's only a matter of reapplying the emotional disassociation to a larger group of beings, namely, humans. someone let me know how it was if you saw it... Gotta run, Anthony Vikas Sharma wrote: > > Hey! > > For those of you with an idiot box ... > > If you like to watch A & E ... there is an Investigative Reports on " Cruelty > to Animals "
