Guest guest
That is just absurd! Don't those highbrow scientists remember the baboon heart that was transplanted into a little girl was a failure -- as have been all xenotransplantations -- with none surviving for more than 6 months? Not to mention the fact that IT IS WRONG TO SACRIFICE THE LIVES OF ANIMALS - even if it may be to save a human. Well, we too are animals, am I correct? Would it then be OK to kill me for my organs to save the life of another " more deserving " person? I think not -- a life is a life is a life -- whether it's mine or yours or a dog or mouse or a pig. Guest guest
I could not agree more. This ridiculous and dangerous science is so ass backward,I'm stunned. We all have to die at some point. This is inevitable. We are an arrogant species so in love with ourselves we think we deserve to live for ever.We play God and spit in the face of the natural order of life and death. In my opinion it has everything to do with the reality of overpopulation and global exploitation of our surroundings and the eating of meat. Why dose someone need a heart from a pig when at birth they were given a perfectly good one? Because all through life they clogged it with cholesterol from the consumption of decomposing carcass. It's so simple, stop eating death and you won't die as quickly. Then you will not need to take the heart of another creature that was given to that creature and not you in the first place. And you won't have use for clones. We are heading in a bad direction as a world. We have got to put on the breaks and take stock. But humanity is oh so arrogant and so fucking stupid. Quite often I might add. AAAAAAGGGH! love P.B. >AliciaJP > > > Re: xenotransplantation >Wed, 15 Mar 2000 19:03:08 EST > >That is just absurd!
