Guest guest
I think this is a tough question. I would imagine that if you took care of your chicken(s), the harm that could come to them would only be whatever was unforeseen (such as a fox in the hen house). As for eating their eggs... I think that's a personal decision only you could make. Is it right or wrong? I don't know. *I* wouldn't eat them, but then I don't like cauliflower either and I certainly wouldn't tell someone else they couldn't eat cauliflower because I don't. Hmmm.... What does everyone else thing? Guest guest
Eggs? It's not a part of our natural diet ... like who came up with that perversion anyway? It's fucking sick ... Taking care of our own chickens? Who says they want to be taken care of by us, anyhow? Leave them be! When are we, as a race, going to understand, that regardless of how " well " we take care of animals, that they aren't ours to take care of. People might say, oh, well animals in zoos live better lives than if they were in the wild. Guess what, it doesn't fucking matter. The mere fact that we " keep " animals, (I am not talking about pets here) ... is an infringement on the animal's freedom. There are some exceptions however ... when we take in " domesticated " animals (i.e. farm sanctuaries that house ex-slaughterhouse animals, or when people take in stray animals, etc.) it's a situation in which we are helping animals out ... if I found a pet chicken, and it had eggs, I would let the chicken decide what it wanted to do with that egg ... it's not for me to decide. It comes down to liberation ... it's the same with the bees and honey issue .... regardless of how " well " we treat them, it's still wrong.
