Guest guest
Hi Laura, If you're an art student, I guess I'll introduce myself too. I just graduated (last June) form UCSB's (don't laugh) art studio honors program. I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere, and so Santa Barbara was about all I was prepaired for when I finally left (I had a highschool graduating class of 50, and half of my class was still learning english - so I didn't have a very good grasp on the world at the time). Luckily, I had some really great teachers in Santa Barbara- one from the Chicago arts institute (hooray!) and one from the glory days of Cal Arts. I was working almost exclusivley with video projection and digital audio when I left, but now I really only work with digital audio, since my job has me working on $200,000 avid editing systems and being thoroughly fed up with video. We should keep in touch, I live in LA right now, but I want to move somewhere else if I decide to go to graduate school. I've only been struggling with a cruelty free diet for like 3 months, my Dad and grandpa are farmers who also raise cattle, so you can imagine some of the ideologies I must have lived under for the first 18 years of my life (I'm 22 now - 23 next month). My parents would call a shrink if they found out I was attempting to be " one o' them vegans " . take care 'yall, patrick k. >laura <saffron > > >Re: all about me >Wed, 5 Apr 2000 15:50:22 -0700 > >i guess i should introduce myself as well... >i grew up in dc but have also lived in massachusetts and ohio, and now, >illinois... i've been living in chicago for almost 3 years. i'm 23 and i'm >graduating this may from the art institute of chicago, and i just finished >work on my thesis show, which opened on the first.
