San Mateo, CA - Livebrighter.com has published a new booklet titled “Easy Ways

to Eat More Soy”, aimed at demystifying soyfoods for consumers interested in the

much-publicized health benefits.

“Many people who were raised on meat and potatoes may be aware of the health

benefits of soyfoods, but are unsure how to incorporate these foods into their

daily diet,” said Susan Cara, CEO of livebrighter.com. “We want to show them

that it is easy to do, it doesn't have to mean a major dietary change.”

Finding soy products is getting easier. Due to increasing consumer demand, more

supermarkets are carrying a wider variety. However, knowing what to do with them

can be hard, and getting your family to try unfamiliar foods can be especially

difficult. This booklet lists the most commonly available soyfoods and shows how

they can be incorporated into many familiar dishes.

“We want people to realize that eating more soy doesn't necessarily mean

completely changing your lifestyle. Simply reducing the amount of animal protein

in your diet has been proven to be beneficial to your health,” said Susan.

Soy's health benefits have received a lot of press lately. The FDA has approved

the claim that 25 grams of soy protein per day can reduce the risk of heart

disease and lower your cholesterol. Soy has been linked to reduced rates of

breast and prostate cancers, and it is much lower in saturated fat than animal

protein.

“Easy Ways to Eat More Soy” lists over 80 specific suggestions for including soy

in every meal. Also included:

descriptions of common soyfoods

a listing of soyfood manufacturers' web sites

places to buy soyfoods online

places to find recipes and answers to your health questions online

cookbook recommendations
