Guest guest
If study after study, proves the animal research cannot be put towards Humans, why is it continued? Why can't I go to the grocery and find one bar of soap that hasn't been tested on animals? I'm so distressed! I can't help because I only know what products are available in the UK, but why don't you speak to or write to your local supermarket manager and ask him WHY he doesn't stock cruelty-free products? Got to be worth a try. If we only complain to each other and not to the offenders, nothing will ever change. Good luck! Cathy
Guest guest
I agree with Suzy about money being a factor in animal testing...money drives everything in this society. Another great website for cruelty free products is http://www.pangeaveg.com/. Pangea is an all vegan store in MD run by great people. They do a lot of mail order and if they don't have something they could tell you where to find it. I recently moved to the midwest (from MD) and I couldn't survive here without my monthly online shopping at Pangea. Although, I have noticed Tom's of Maine products in mainsteam grocery stores and drug stores so they are getting easier to find. If you are interested in animal testing 'Animal Experimentation : A Harvest of Shame' by Moneim A. Fadali is agreat book to read and get the facts. I've been against animal testing even before I became vegan, but it is hard to argue this topic without some good facts to back it up. Guest guest
Linda, Thanks. I actually went to Pangea last night to purchase bumper stickers. I should've just put some soap on my order. I was just highly annoyed that I can't run up to the local grocery store and find something Cruelty-Free. Welcome to the World of Vegans, huh?
