I used to use a lot of St Ives products but when I become vegan I checked

them out and they were owned by 'Alberto-Culver' who test on animals. I

don't have any old bottles around but if it wasn't Alberto it was another

large company that tests on animals. I'd avoid St. Ives.

I find that a lot of companies lie. Probably intentionally. I've been

researching some Australian companies and some of them say all their

products are vegan and then I find out they're not. I just hope they're

telling the truth about their research methods. I keep a list of all

suspect ingredients while shopping just to be on the safe side.

I use a lot of Aubrey's Organics (they label the products that are vegan

and they seem to be pretty honest) and I don't think they ever tested on

animals. I know we can't be sure that all companies are telling the truth,

but I tend to believe the smaller/environmentally friendly companies over

the big corps. I find Aubrey's in health food stores and mail order.

Even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea,

they have all one breath, so that a man hath no pre-eminence above a beast.

life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet. "
