Guest guest
For most of my life I probably would have sat quietly by and let this statement sadden me. But not anymore... I have battled morbid obesity most of my life. I used to weigh over 300 lbs and I lost 130 lbs within the last 2 years. Now I am around 170-180. Is this still considered " fat " ??? Am I supposed to CARE that " guys " (which guys are YOU talking about--I tend to get a LOT of attention from " guys " thank you so much!!) wont " like me " ??? Do " guys' " affection mean that much to me?? Does a MAN have to approve of me before I can be worth something!?!?!? The answer would be a resounding HELL NO!! Not that it matters, because others' opinions about me are of miniscule value, but MANY guys tend to like the way women like me are shaped. Not all guys prefer emaciated little child-women. Not all guys like self-disrespecting, piece of meat resembling Britany Spears wanna-bees. Some guys like women of an adult's size, a voluptuous, sensual woman who is not a size 2! And BTW as someone as knowledgeable in the field of weight loss as I am, I have to inform you that eating whatever you want as long as you go to the gym 3-4 times a week does not normally add up to much weight loss, especially if you are predisposed to being heavy-set. There are effective ways to lose weight. That most likely isn't one of the most efficient. As a woman I find I am constntly defending my size 16 self. And I am sick to DEATH of that. That is why I am offended by this staement that " No guy likes fat women " . How about if I said (I do *not* feel this way for the record) " No self respecting woman likes a skinny man. " How would you feel if you were of said build??? That would probably piss you off hardcore! Especially if you had spent most of your life being insulted and put down because of your size (or lack thereof). You'd probably be getting pretty darn sick of this size biased society. As *I* am. To use some pretty " in " buzzwords, let's practice a little " tolerance " of our " diversity " SHALL WE???
