Activists from all over the tri-state area meet for a special one-of-a-kind event … Princeton, New Jersey -- Check out New Jersey Animal Rights Alliance's 8th Annual Animal Rights Festival to be held on Saturday, May 12, 2001 from 10:30am - 6pm at the Unitarian Church of Princeton, 50 Cherry Hill Road, Princeton. This is the only event of its kind in New Jersey, attracting people from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and beyond. If you care about animals and would like to know what you can do to help them, then this is THE place to be! Throughout the day, workshops will be given that cover a wide array of animal rights issues. The workshops, designed for both novices and seasoned animal activists, will help you learn how to be an effective voice for the animals and find out what you can do to stop animal abuse and exploitation. Exhibitors and vendors distributing animal rights information and merchandise will be featured throughout the day and reasonably priced vegan food will be available for purchase. A weekend of protests against Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS) is planned around the conference. We encourage people to come from far and wide for a wonderful weekend of education and action! Friday, May 11 ADL's monthly protest against Huntingdon Life Sciences, Mettlers Road, East Millstone from 4pm - 7pm. DIRECTIONS: NJ Turnpike to Exit 9 (New Brunswick) to Rt. 18 North. Take the Rt. 27 South exit, towards Princeton. Loop under the bridge, pass through one light, and make a right onto Easton Ave. at the train station. Second left onto Hamilton Ave. Hamilton Ave. turns into Amwell Road. You will be on this road for about 15 minutes. After seeing milemarker 19 you will see a Shady Brook Herbery. Shortly after, milemarker 18 will follow. After seeing that make a right onto Mettlers Road. Parking is available at Colonial Park on your right. The lab is further down on your left. Saturday, May 12 After NJARA's Festival, ADL will stage a home protest at the residence of an HLS vivisectionist or executive. More information will be available at the Festival. Sunday, May 13 Activists will meet back at the HLS laboratory in the morning for a " greet the workers " protest from 8am - 10am, followed by another home protest.
