My husband has excellent self esteem...a very secure man, good looking, " self respecting " etc, and he is with a size 16 wife. Not only that, he married me when I weighed 250 lbs, and when I got up past 300 lbs, he still told me I was sexy, he still treated me like a queen. When I decided to lose weight, he had no opinion on the subject. He didn't push me, and if at any time I would have thrown in the towel and said the heck with it [losing weight] we wouldn't have cared either way. Now that I am 180 lbs he looks at me the same way that he did when I was 306 lbs--with adoration and genuine love. Now *that* is a MAN!!!
