Guest guest
This was just sent to me, and it is important you watch for these. Just a short note that just got a high priority Virus warning. Do not open if you get either of these: 1) A VIRTUAL CARD FOR YOU - If you open this your computer will freeze. when you try to reboot using Control/ Alt/ Delete or reset button the virus destroys Sector Zero and permanently destroys the hard drive. No cure yet!! 2) An Internet Flower for You - removes all dymanic link libraries (.dll files) from your computer. Your computer will not be able to boot up. DO NOT OPEN EITHER OF THESE !!!!!!! Guest guest
Sorry mate, these two supposed viruses are actually hoaxes. It's sad isn't it, that not only do we have to watch out for cretins who create destructive viruses, we now have to be aware of morons who create meaningless hoaxes. Please forward this to everyone so this wanker doesn't get a bigger ego by this hoax being sent around the world. I too have forwarded hoaxes on several times unknowingly, and now I just check beforehand, because for every legit virus warning I get, I get about 10 hoaxes. If you want to see for yourself, go to... http://service1.symantec.com/sarc/sarc.nsf/html/Virtual.Card.for.You.html http://service1.symantec.com/sarc/sarc.nsf/html/Flower.for.You.html In future, go to http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/hoax.html to do a check to make sure it is legit. Thanks for the warning anyway, it's the thought that counts after all... Guest guest
I download all attachments onto diskette and scan them with my Norton Anti-Virus 2001 before opening them. I haven't received any tainted attachments from this list. Best of luck getting your computer clean. I had to do a uninstall/reinstall about a month ago, a very tedious process. That's when I bought the updated anti-virus program. If you don't have an anti-virus program you can scan your computer for free at Housecall: http://housecall.antivirus.com/ Rhonda **************************************************************************** *************************** " While we ourselves are the living graves of murdered beasts, how can we expect any ideal conditions on this earth?
