Guest guest
> In the middle of the night and under high security, monkeys and pigs were secretly brought up to the windowless 9th floor of the new research building at Hackensack University Medial Center on Prospect Avenue in Hackensack, NJ (Bergen County). Positions for veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses are currently advertised on the hospital bulletin board. No none outside the hospital and few inside it, seem to be aware of theses animals' plight or presence. That needs to change. > Hackensack is VERY sensitive to negative press--that is why this has been kept so quiet and why the animals were brought in under the cover of night. They have spent millions of dollars on renovations, research, operational changes and services designed to attract clientele. This animal testing lab is not yet profitable, but the rest of the hospital sure is. Hackensack would not risk the loss of market share and profits that could result from negative publicity that would expose what they are doing. They would not want picketers causing potential clients to take their business elsewhere. Now is the time to act, before the lab is fully operational. Right now no one is helping these animals.
