Guest guest
Dear Compassionate Person: I need your help now more than ever. Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS), based in Europe, has been attacking animal rights organizations with lawsuits, based on laws that were set to prevent organized crime, not animal protectionists. Huntingdon Life Sciences is one of the world's largest contract animal testing companies. In Great Britain and at their laboratory located in East Millstone, New Jersey, there are more than 70,000 animals - including dogs, cats, monkeys, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, mice, and birds - waiting to be tortured and killed. HLS has been exposed for extreme animal cruelty and fraudulent research practices. Documents leaked from the lab exposed repeatedly botched cross-species organ transplant experiments. In fact, the leaked documents revealed that researchers had falsified data to make it appear as if the experiments were successful, and that animals who were recorded on paper as doing well were, in fact, suffering and dying. On October 29, 2001, activists around the world will gather in New Jersey to protest the HLS at it's United States Headquarters. I am e-mailing you to ask you that if you cannot travel to New Jersey for the protest, that you organize something in your own state. Even if you do not have a HLS testing lab, pick a place in your city/state that is a public place. I have directed all Love All Animals volunteers to help organize protests across the country and across the world. The HLS needs to be shown that they cannot threaten us with lawsuits, and we will be here to speak the truth about their organization, until they end animal abuse and animal testing. I have also said that I will pay for any permit fees, supplies (posterboard, markers), and brochures that are used at your protests. I believe that this is an important issue and that HLS needs to be shown that we are serious in our cause. If you cannot organize or attend a protest, you can also help in the following ways: Contact: Huntingdon Life Sciences, Inc.; PO Box 2360; Mettlers Road; East Millstone, NJ 08875-2360; (732) 873 - 2550; Fax: (732) 873 - 8513 Stephens Inc., an investment firm, is the largest shareholder of HLS.
