Wednesday, October 10, 2001

By Environmental News Network

U.S. scientists are reducing the number of rodents needed for

chemical safety testing to a fraction of the number used since 1927

reports released Friday say the use of human or animal cell lines

could immediately reduce the number of animals as much as 30 percent
