HOWDY, The CALIFORNIA RAINBOW FAMILY

Invite One and All to the:

 

CALIFORNIA RAINBOW WEEKEND BLUEMOON CAMPOUT & COUNCIL

 

OCTOBER 26, 27, 28, 2001

 

As with all Rainbow Gatherings it is a totally free,

non-commercial sharing of our Lives in the Cathedral

of Nature. There is no authoritarian hierarchy here.

We strive to care of each other, because we recognize

that we are All One. The Gathering works because each

of us takes the responsibility for doing what needs to

be done.

 

There are NO FIRE RESTRICTIONS NOW in the forest.

 

Don't Forget your tent, sleeping bag, pillow,

flashlight, matches, cup and bowl, knife, spoon, fork,

canteen, extra blanket, " long johns " , cap, gloves, pen

& paper, bio-soap, shovels, axes, saws, toilet paper,

lime, bleach, sunscreen, and?

 

Bring ALL GOOD THINGS, HUGS, LOVE, LIGHT, SHARING,

good vibes, common sense, musical instruments,

guitars, drums, appropriate use of healthy herbs,

and?

 

tea, coffee, popcorn, fruit, dried fruit, nuts &

nutbutters,peanut butter, vegetables, juice, pasta,

meatless sauce,spices, oil, salt, pepper, garlic,

onion, potatoes, oatmeal,french & whole wheat bread or

the like, jelly,zuzu's ie. sweets such as candy bars,

chocolate,hard candies, lg/sm propane stoves,and?

 

Out of respect for all living things. Please leave

pets, alcohol, meat, and electronic music, radio's,

tape/cd players, and other pollutants. back at the

house for they are STRONGLY DISCOURAGED.

 

Clean UP starts when we arrive, bring plastic bags

to haul out sorted recycled trash. If you smoke

tobacco,

please try and keep the filters off the ground.

 

This is a follow on to the June 1-4 2001 NORCAL

(Northern California Weekend Regional) which was held

down the road from the new site.

 

DIRECTIONS:

*Take I-5 North just past Mount Shasta

*Exit I-5 North at Weed California

*Take Hwy 97 North out of Weed

*Go 27 Miles

*Turn Right onto Tennant Road (paved)

*Go 11.7 Miles

*Turn Right on 77 (gravel)

*Go 1/10 of a mile

*Turn Right on 6 (gravel)

*Follow cairns (i.e. trail sign, " rock people " , rocks

stacked on top of each other)

*Approx 7 miles more or less

up a gentle grade (good gravel road)

*Welcome hOMe will be on Your Right

 

Temps: Days mid 60's-low 70's Nights 30-40 Dress Warm

Altitude: Approx 4000 feet above sea level

BRING 1 GALLON OF DRINKING WATER PER

PERSON PER DAY OR FILTERS Otherwise (Boil or Bleach

Stream Water for drinking )
