Given the right opportunity, I personally know that most of our members will do the right thing. Well, that life altering opportunity has arrived and it will empower people to enable major sweeping changes. The Problem Scientists have determine that we have now lost 50% of our global ecology. Unfortunately it is much worse then that since we are now losing an additional 2% our global ecology each year. Some experts are now indicating that we may actually pass the point of no return for saving our global ecology within the next 7 to 9 years. Earth Saving Solution One Earth, One Mission is preparing to launch 75 interconnected web sites by January 31, 2002. These sites will educate people about the realities that we face. These organizations will unite and empower people to bring about the necessary changes that must take place to save Earth. It's Your Choice: 1) we can wait for the governments to do something but unfortunately all indications are that they will not act in time. 2) we can plan to abandon earth in the next 20 to 35 years, or, 3) we can educate, unite and empower people to create an environmental resolution and then elect environmentally minded politicians to pass Earth saving legislation. Many of our members have never volunteered time to a cause. Well, this is the perfect opportunity for dedicated individuals to grow with a large group of organizations. Furthermore, this group has developed avenues to enable everyday people to make money while improving our health and saving our global ecology. One Earth, One Mission has my full commitment as a volunteer. Now, I am asking you to come forward and assist in this Earth saving mission in any way you can. We must act now to protect our animal friends so they too can live in peace and coexist with mankind. Please, take action now! Any individuals that enjoy working with people, and can devote the time necessary to direct the responses to the appropriate managers would be extremely helpful. Project Managers To oversee all aspects of research, content, writing, and editing. HCI Developers Role is primarily focused on performing front-end development tasks. * HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript * Cross Browser Compatibility, Cross Browser UI Controls * Layout and Design, Navigation, Consistent Look and Feel GUI Developers Role is primarily focused on graphic design and multimedia. * HTML, DHTML, CSS * Create high quality graphics (Photoshop and Illustrator skills a plus) * Flash and Shockwave Technical Writers Will be responsible for reviewing all information placed on the public web site to ensure that our message is consistent, our grammar is correct, and our spelling of words with variations are consistent as well. Detail oriented person with very strong writing skills. Content Managers Will be responsible for researching specific sites assigned to them and gathering the initial content for those sites. The content managers will need to work closely with the HCI Developers so that they understand how the navigation is going to work and what content will be need per version. Quality Assurance Prior to release (about a week prior), the web sites will need to go through a thorough testing process. The Quality Assurance people will need to be familiar with some automated testing procedures as well as be needed to review each page of every site to find bugs and errors and report them to the proper authority. Database Developers Develop the back end including content management system (database(s) to drive the content on the web sites) user management system (database to manage users including auto action reply system). They will need to be thoroughly familiar with PHP/MySql interfacing including any and all security concerns within those respective systems. They will work with HCI team on integrating the front end and back end. Security Administrators Develop, test, debug and maintain comprehensive security system that takes into account all components - client and server sides. Will work closely with HCI and Database developers to insure secure standards are being implemented. ___ Mission Statement: OneEarthOneMission.org Everything on this planet is symbiotically interconnected plants, animals (including humans!), the Earth itself. Of all the organizations that we have approached for assistance (many that you would quickly recognize) no organization has ever truly risen to the occasion to assist us. My feeling is that most are too self-serving and that they literally can't see the forest through the trees. A week ago we emailed perhaps 100 members of an animal rights forum. Within minutes a single line response came back which simply stated. We will help you with your project anyway we can. When I went to reply I then realized that the offer had come from Ryan the President of Love All Animals. In all the conversations that followed I cannot begin to tell you how impressed we've been with both his insight and assistance. Please accept our heart felt thanks.
