But don't give up. I have had some friends, who knew I was veg but we'd never really discussed it in depth, suddenly come around asking for info -- one guy who used to tease me & our other vegan friend, for years, has recently cut out meat! He's not vegan yet, by a long shot, but he's starting to understand. Be patient and stay friends with them -- your good example can be more effective than any amount of arguing.
