Guest guest
>(And if there are any other utlitarianism >lovers out there like myself, please help! it seems >everyone on this list is against me!) I don't know much about utilitarianism, but I sure agree with what you said. Whenever there are ethical/phylosophical discussions like this I always feel that all others are out to get me - not only in vegan lists, but feminist lists as well. So how about not turning against your own kind anymore, and being okay with the fact that not everyone will have the exact same beliefs and not work through the same means, but we have the same goal? This reminds me of an example told by U of T's prof. Barrett (who is part of the Royal Society - and he is definitely not pro-GE) - during an anti-GE protest, some protesters bombed several genetic research labs, one of which belonged to a friend of his, who was actually doing research to save endangered species. So decades of research were lost, and GMOs are still pretty much everywhere. Sorry I've gone a bit off-topic here. Discussions are great sometimes, but my personal beliefs have been attacked so many times, more often by vegans than by meat-eaters, so it's always worrisome for me when discussions arise. I hope I've enlightened at least some of you. Peace, -Isabelle _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.
