<< Dear Tia:

You must be young. Atleast younger than I am. You can't wipe out a life

time of " drink your milk " with a few articles or links etc. Even thought I

know that milk is not great for you, in the back of my mind is my mother

saying " drink your milk, you need calcium for those growing bones " . My

husband is a dairy farmer and, of course would disagree with you until he

dropped dead, and no amount of articles from people in the know, would make

him change his mind. He is conditioned from years of work and living to

" think milk " . Telling someone born in the 40's or 50's not to drink milk

is like telling a Christian not to believe in God. But anyway, I am with

you on the milk issue for sure. My kids are both allergic and so am I.

Painfully so. The girls were raised on goat's milk for a year and then no

milk at all. I drink soymilk only. This link may help.

http://www.hacres.com/html/milk.html I found it insightful and the fact

that the Director of the Department of Pediatrics of Johns Hopkins

University School of Medicine and Physician-in-Chief of the Johns Hopkins

Children's Center says " don't drink milk " , carries some weight for sure. >>

Thanks. But my name is Hope, TIA means Thanks In Advance

I wasn't wanting links to change anyones mind, I was wanting links so people

will stop bashing me on non vegan lists by saying i am a horrible mother by

denying my child milk. That's all. But thanks again.

I do not look to try and change anyones opinion. Only to get them to see why

*I* choose not too.
