Guest guest
In the last few decades, American meat production has become a highly mechanized and centralized industry, bringing about significant changes not only in the way meat is produced but also in the way Americans eat. These changes have forced the U.S. Department of Agriculture to institute a new meat inspection process, which gives greater control to the powerful meat industry. This spring, FRONTLINE investigates the modern meat industry and the safety of our current meat supply. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/meat/ Visit the " Modern Meat " web site for extended coverage on this topic, including: · A Closer Look at the Industry: statistics and articles on the industrialization of America's meat industry; · Inside the Slaughterhouse: background reports, readings and interviews on current conditions and the movement for humane slaughter; · Consumer Information: facts and advice on choosing meat and eating safely; · FRONTLINE's extended interviews, a chronology, video excerpts, and more. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/press/2017i.html -- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ .
