Guest guest
Vegans care about the planet and the suffering of other, especially the down-trodden the oppressed. So certainly other vegans on this list will want to know what is happening, and what they can do about it. michelle Sign-up for Video Highlights of 2002 FIFA World Cup

The first part of your message is probably correct in most cases: most vegans have probably chosen veganism for ethical reasons, and if they care about animals, in most cases they probably also care about people (we, too, are animals). But the second part is wrong. It does *not* follow that others will want to hear about middle-east politics *on this list*, unless it directly relates to veganism. The whole point of a mailing list is to have a very focused discussion, and your messages typically do not focus on veganism. I am interested in middle-east politics, and I read about middle-east politics, but I'm *not* interested in reading about that *on this list*. In my opinion, people who persistently post off-topic messages on mailing lists should be removed from the list (after due warning) by the list owner. This is not censorship. It is merely a response to a breach of list etiquette. Gerry
