Guest guest
Hello, I'm currently doing a research project on finding if liquors (alcohol) include animal ingredients in the finished product/or if animal ingredients are used in the process of making the liquor (filtered through something that is animal derived). There isn't much or sufficient information on that on internet. If you know any more information or source on that, please let me know and that would be helpful for my project. Any response to this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brett
Guest guest
i called a couple of distillaries in canada a few years back and found that none of them used animal products in the fining process. the scientist guy in the distillary said that he knew of no companies that still used animal products as the synthetis were cheaper and more reliable. but don't take his word for it..i can give you a list of those vegan products if you want. as i am sure you know, wines are a different story. b --- brett_budz <brett_budz wrote: > Hello, > > I'm currently doing a research project on finding if liquors > (alcohol) include animal ingredients in the finished product/or if > animal ingredients are used in the process of making the liquor > (filtered through something that is animal derived). Guest guest
wine, mostly no, especially imported. american wine is vegan i believe brandy(made in wine kegs), same as wine gin, yes whiskey, yes votka, yes pernod, yes beer, 99.9% vegan except for Guiness(isinglass, fish parts) and Samuel Smith's Oatmeal stout(don't know why). rum, don't know tequilla, don't know but very sure it is sake, always shochu, yes plum wine, it's part crap-ass red wine too cheap for expensive animal parts so probably vegan i got this from Animal Ingredients A to Z and personal knowledge.
