Guest guest
I had a rough weekend. We had a barbeque--mostly hotdogs but Tofu pups for a select few like My husband and I. Tofu Pups I must say don't barbeque up well and I was very disappointed. I did trick all the meateaters with my chili though. Anyone, not one person could keep their comments to themselves. Everyone had to ask 'What's that?' and 'Why bother?' Everyone always comments on how angry Vegetarians are but we are not the ones to talk about the Vegetarianism. Everyone else does. I'm still stewing about this (obviously) and sent out an email below to those that attended and couldn't keep their comments to themselves. I try to keep my opinions to myself but it gets to the point where I feel I need to speak up. Its great to have a list like this with 'like-minded' people. Thanks for listening (reading) ********************************************************************************\ ********************************************************************* Why is it everyone is SO interested in talking about Vegetarianism more than the Vegetarian? I can't go anywhere without people commenting whether I'm eating flesh or not. I don't like flesh. I don't like the torture and death it represents. It in no way represents PEACE which is what I want to find in this lifetime. If people have such a hard time respecting my menu options maybe they need to look into theirs. I DO NOT choose to live this lifetime with my head buried in sand. If you want to live in the truth, go online and watch how hamburgersand chicken breasts are made. Pigs, Cows, Chickens, Ducks and Geese are God's Creatures. They bleed the same red as human beings do. So if I choose to eat something made from tofu than the carcass of an animal, why should anyone else have a problem with it? Isn'tit BIZARRE to eat another living creature? What would happen if you had to slaughter it yourself? My diet is NOT going to change. I will raise MY children to be compassionate human beings and to ALWAYS live in the truth. That is my choice. Why should I be looked down upon because of it? I'm not going to force Tofu down your throat and if you take my lifestyle as a criticism of yours, maybe you need to delve deeper and learn your own truth. I am only listening to my conscience.
