" Also, I've heard Michael Stipe, the lead singer of REM, is vegetarian, but I think I might also have heard that that was false. Also the drummer from Poison is vegan I think. There are more on famousveggie.com, I'm sure. Regarding " Meat is Murder " by the Smiths: the song opens with cow mooing sounds. Some of the lyrics: ,...this beautiful creature must die...and death for no reason is murder...and the flesh you so fancifully fry is not succulent tasty or kind(?), it's death for no reason, and death for no reason is murder. And the cows that you carve with a smile...is murder....and the turkey you festively slice...is murder...etc. It's a pretty depressing song; probably not a great anthem, but interesting.
