Guest guest
<< CONTACt:PanDeva Subject Many Beagles To Die Soon-Please give them a " morning after " Greetings, Some odd fellow in NW Indiana was raided a year ago and some neglected beagles were removed from his premises, a few bad cases being put down. He is at it again, and the state is about to swoop in and possibly remove upwards of 50-60 dogs (or more) off his property. We all know that the gov rarely has facilities to hold, care for, and adopt raid-gotten animals. They are usually put down and the public is told that they were in " too bad of shape " to have survived, which is often a load of crap; good vet work can save some of the worse cases. These animals are being kept tied up outdoors, and some don't look like they are doing very well. I can pass along a few jpeg photo files of beagles taken in last year's raid. I don't know that I'd venture to state categorically that these are necessarily PURE BRED beagles, but having had a few beagles in my time, they look " beagle-ish " enough to pass muster with me, and besides, these are poor, neglected creatures who will die if they are not spoken for prior to the raid. The local press coverage MIGHT end up with SOME of these guys tugging a few heart strings and getting a decent home, but let's face it--50 or 60 of them??? No way! Can anyone HELP even ONE of these dogs, pre-raid, which may come down in early August (unless we can talk the authorities to back off while at least a few foster folk get lined up)? This is critical. Please answer even if you CAN'T help, so that we know which doors NOT to knock on again regarding this specific case. There are a few people involved here who MIGHT be willing and able-as in past cases-to travel over several states to place these guys in safe, loving homes. You all know that an abused animal is often a most grateful creature who makes a very fine, fine friend for life. Please cut and paste and send to others.
