PHILOSOPHY PROGRAM

AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 

PETER SINGER, Ira W. DeCamp Professor of Bioethics at Princeton University,

will deliver the annual Jack Smart Lecture at 4.00pm on Thursday 24 August,

2000.

 

The title of Professor Singer's lecture is *Outsiders: our obligations to

those beyond our borders " . Those interested in attending the lecture,

and/or the dinner afterwards, should be in touch with the Philosophy

Program Administrator, Di Crosse, as soon as possible

Unfortunately Professor David Lewis, who had initially agreed to give

the Smart Lecture this year, has had to postpone his Lecture until 2001.
