While I can understand someone feeling that way, I think humankind isn't the worst ecological disaster perse, I think growth of the population is the real problem. I think that humankind CAN live in harmony with the planet. We already know a great deal about how to do that, applying the knowledge seems to be the struggle. Obviously, humankind is capable of harmonious living habits because there are living examples of it on this list and many other places. I think that it is lack of appropriate education, about the impact of population growth and destructive habits, where it all begins. I think we need more vegan teachers in schools, who can work information about their lifestyle into the lesson each day and who teach about the benefits of limiting family size.
