Guest guest
Hi all; A news flash: The Cirque de Soleil is a circus-style acrobatic performance troop of humans only that was started in Quebec, Canada in the 1980's. It has developed a fabulous reputation, even had an Imax movie made of them. They employ 2,000 people in 7 productions on 3 continents. While that is good news in itself I think, the BEST part is that they are now doing BETTER than Ringling Barnum and Bailey. Cirque de Soleil is worth 800 million now, whereas Ringling Barnum and Bailey is only worth 500 million. Even though Barnum and Bailey circuses are such a long established company, been performing since the late 1700's, they seem to be losing public interest compared to the Cirque de Soleil which has only been at is for less than 20 years. After only 20 years of doing business, the Cirque de Soleil is already doing almost double the business. I call that a very encouraging statement of the tastes of the times. I think we are learning!
