Guest guest
OTTAWA, September 25, 2000 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning consumers not to consume fresh pork distributed in Quebec and limited parts of Ontario between September 19 to 25, 2000 due to the presence of a carcinogen. This warning is based on a risk assessment by Health Canada. The affected pork is from 125 hogs that accidentally received feed containing antibiotics immediately before slaughter. One of the antibiotics used in the feed is not permitted within 35 days of slaughter. The antibiotic is hazardous when the withdrawal time is not respected. -- Free email services provided by http://www.goodkarmacafe.com Powered by Outblaze
