Guest guest
Hi everybody, Im sorry I thought this was Planet VEGAN not planet Jesus. I don't think that religious discussion is appropriate here. I doubt that we can figure out if Jesus was a vegetarian or not and frankly, I don't care. Im a member here to talk and read postings about VEGANISM and to share experiences, health related issues, recipes and personal stories and important news. I know this issue is truly important to some of you but maybe its more appropriate in a religious or Jesus egroup list. Sorry to sound like a bitch but Im really getting offended by all this religius talk. That's just MY OPINION but also here is the PLANET VEGAN GUIDELINES from an earlier email as posted by Anji. ---- Bottom line is, we have about 70 different personalities here and - everybody can't be happy about everything all the time. BUT if we all cooperate and do our best to follow the guidelines we will have an interesting, useful, inspiring, kick-ass mailing list. OKAY?! So please, before I lose any more valued members... here are the guidelines once again: ---> Please try to stay on topic. The list is for sharing thoughts, ideas, questions, recipes, news, events etc. relating to animal rights and veganism. Veganism can be a broad topic and it sometimes seems that it relates to everything, however I'd like to keep it as close as possible to the " big three " vegan topics - ethics, health, and environment. ---> We share this list with approximately 65-70 other rs who are here to talk about animal rights and veganism. Take a moment to think about your post. Is it something list members would be interested in, or would it be best to send your post privately? Comments like " cool " , or " thank you " , or " that sucks " are better off sent to the person intended to read them. It would be nice to keep the list as streamlined as possible. ---> When replying to a post, please, please trim your emails. Re-send a few summarizing lines of the original message so the reader will know immediately what you are talking about. Do not re-send the entire original message, especially if it is long, as it might be unwanted by the receiver and an unnecessary burden for many servers. This means delete everything you are not responding to, including especially all that extra stuff that Onelist includes at the bottom. ---> Make subject lines descriptive. People should get an idea of your message from glancing at the subject line. " Hi " is not as good as, " Consumer Reports Finds 71% of Store-Bought Chicken Contains Harmful Bacteria " , for example. ---> As a courtesy please do not send: chain letters, virus warnings, hoaxes, urban legends, attachments, flames or harassment, off-topic advertising messages etc. -- Free email services provided by http://www.goodkarmacafe.com Powered by Outblaze
Guest guest
I very much agree with amazon grrls post. While I totally respect all religions, I myself am not religious, and it is starting to feel a bit like a bible lesson in this group. I do respect everyones opinions, but I think we need to get back on track. I think the posts we're referring to had the validity to be posted, but it's been drug out to it's limit. The truth is, we'll never know if Jesus was a vegetarian or not. Kari Messenger - Talk while you surf! It's FREE.
Guest guest
Wow....conflict gets my adrenalin goin...just like the stress of living in NYC!! I apologize for bringing up Jesus, but my fiancee sent me the jesus article, who is not vegan, or a beleiver in Jesus, but thought maybe it would interest others. I don't beleive in Jesus. I am not Christian, or Catholic. I don't care about what Jesus ate either! I am so sorry religion is such a horrible subject to bring up. I didn't study the article with a fine tooth comb. I love being vegan, its my life, its me, and I look forward to more vegan articles, emails, etc. I promise to never bring up Jesus again! amazon grrrl [bliss] Tuesday, October 17, 2000 3:08 PM Is this PLANET VEGAN or PLANET JESUS?
