Guest guest
Cow leaps into the sea to escape the chop A cow earmarked for the dinner table slipped away from the dockers who were unloading her, jumped into the sea and swam for its life. The one-year-old heifer made the dash for freedom at Al Hamriya Port in the United Arab Emirates. It took dock workers half an hour in a rowing boat to round her up according to the Gulf News. Port workers had originally managed to corner the cow on the quayside but then she leapt into the water and swam off. Fakrat Kamar, who had helped unload the beast, said: " She was very fast. When my colleagues tried to catch her in the water, she was too quick for them. " His colleague Ahmed Khan said: " I thought we would catch her but she had her eye on us all the time. She kept looking behind her to see where we were and then would swim off in a different direction.
