Guest guest
Ten of the most creative excuse or argument I've heard from a meat eater: 1. " Plants have feelings too! " 2. " People shouldn't care about animals while there are still humans in need. " 3. " I have pernicious anemia and have to take B12 injections, so I HAVE to eat meat! " (This one isn't really creative, it's just ignorant really because a person with pernicious anemia doesn't absorb the B12 from their meat, so eating it is a complete waste of energy in those terms... but I have always thought it was a really creative TRY at making an excuse!) 4. " Life is short, so live for the moment! " (Of course, it doesn't really make any sense, none of these " creative " excuses do because living SO much in the moment that the future and it's potential health consequences don't even exist, tends to make it a self fulfilling prophesy.) 5. " I am of a particular ethnic descent that requires me to eat meat because my ancestors did. " (Ah. Hm. So, does that mean because your ancestors lived in caves, clubbed their mates over their heads, grunted to express themselves and were considered old indeed if they lived for 35 years, they should do these things too?) 6. " I'm too old to change now. " (Yah? If you are too old to change, than you are dead.) 7. " I don't want to be different. " (Right. As if we can be the same...) 8. " Eating fruit and vegetables is SOOO expensive! " (Heehee! Are you saying meat is cheaper?) 9. " I'd just DIE if I couldn't eat meat! " (Hey, you're going to die anyway... the question,is how do you want to live?) 10. " Cows and chickens are meant to be eaten. " (And who has decided that, them or us?)
