Guest guest
CAESAR, WRONGFULLY KILLED - HAVE YOU SENT YOUR LETTER YET? IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD TIME TO WRITE YOUR LETTERS FOR CAESAR PLEASE DO SO TODAY! VISIT http://www.geocities.com/jillserena/Caesar.html FOR ADDRESSES, A SAMPLE LETTER, AND A PETITION LINK. CASE REVIEW: In the fourth week of October, 2000, Caesar, an English Bulldog and family pet of 8 years, was gunned down in his own yard in Cheatham County, Tennesse by a police officer who decided that Caesar must be killed because a neighbor reportedly felt threatened by the animal. The neighbor complained to police three times. English bulldogs are not mean spirited animals to begin with! This animal was " just a big baby " and He " wouldn't hurt anyone " as his family stated. Caesar had never harmed anyone, and nobody will argue with that statement. Yet, he was shot in the head, and he died a very wrongful death. We can't stand by and let this go on unnoticed! Caesar's human companion begged the officer not to kill Caesar, but he said he had to kill the dog immediately and so he did. He killed Caesar in front of his family and other bystanders, putting people in danger as well as the animal. Had a bullet ricocheted, someone could have been hurt or killed. The sheriff is supporting his deputy, stating that " Hamlin is not negligent. He is a good officer.
