Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that when you click at those sites where you save the tigers or the rainforest, your money goes to the Wildlife Conservation Society and the money supports zoos, which many of us don't approve of. I wrote to them to ask about this and their views on hunting. The answer regarding hunting was a bit vague, I'd say.... she said they do not support hunting of exotic animals in nature. So it sounds to me like they support other hunting. Her response is included below. I will not be clicking at any of these sites anymore. Regards, Sharon lcorcoran (Linda Corcoran) Thu, Dec 7, 2000, 10:19pm sharonsky (Sharon) Bronx Zoo Inquiry Dear Ms.Krawczyk: Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the Wildlife Conservation Society's policy on hunting. We do not support hunting of exotic animals in nature. Support provided to the Wildlife Conservation Society can be earmarked for general operating support, support for any or all of the five NYC based facilities (Bronx Zoo, Central Park, Queens and Prospect Park Zoos, and the NY Aquarium) OR one of the 300+ international conservation field projects. I encourage you to view our website at www.wcs.org to see the breathe of our involvement in saving wild animals and wild places around the globe. Thank you for contacting us.
