Dear Mr. Dhaliwal,

 

I am contacting you regarding your recent decision to permit a cull of

275,000 seals. Not only is this decision extremely cruel and inhumane,

but it can also have disastrous consequences for the population of the

seals and for the environment. Also, the Fisheries Department is

ignoring its own guidelines by allowing a seal cull of this magnitude.

I strongly urge you to not permit killing the seals. Should the seal

cull go forward, I will boycott all Canadian goods, never visit Canada

and will urge my friends and relatives to do the same. I sincerely hope

you will make a compassionate decision for the seals.
