Guest guest
I sent a letter to Petcetera at the beginning of December, objecting to their use of a cute puppy on the front of a flyer to advertise their store, on the grounds that it might encourage Christmas puppy giving; and about commercial profit from selling puppies. I just received a very nice letter from the founder and Chairman of PAWS (Petcetera Animal Welfare Society) informing me of the Petcetera policy of referring all requests for cats or dogs to animal shelters via their fancy in-store satellite adoption facility. None of the Petceteras sell cats or dogs. They only act as outlets for animal shelters to display animals looking for homes. The same holds for their policy about exotic pets. Personally, I think this is commendable, and I plan to write to them again to let them know this. Deborah
