Guest guest
Dear Animal Lover: I hope that everyone had a wonderful New Year, and a wonderful first month of the New Millennium. I enjoyed the time I took off and spent much time with my friends. But things still went on at Love All Animals. We have made many more protest dates for the future, and we made many decisions that will affect the next year. I would just like to let you know that our website should be up in the next few weeks, and it will have detailed information on anything that is mentioned in this letter. If you would like to contact at anyone at Love All Animals and do not know their e-mail address, you may e-mail LAARelations and they will direct your e-mail to the correct First off, our website has been in renovation for the past month and a half. We hope to offer the newest technology and we have two very knowledgeable people working on it. The reason it has been taking so long to get finished is because we got off to a shaky start not knowing what we would like on it. Hopefully in the future we will have a section dedicated to rescue, where people can search their state and find animals that are up for adoption, but that was not possible to accomplish in the short time we had. If you would be interested in helping with this rescue section please e-mail Jobs. Also in the month of January, we finally set up our organizations e-mail addresses. Each volunteer has a @loveallanimals.com e-mail address. We had these before but no one was checking them, so we finally switched to using Outlook Express, which is an easy program to use to read and respond to e-mail. For a directory of volunteers please visit our website ( http://www.loveallanimals.com) Our dissection coordinator, JD Dilbone, held a meeting with the local school board in Cincinnati, OH. He is trying to stop the schools from using dissection as a form of education. He is currently mailing out dissection packets to every council member. More information will be available at a later time. You can contact JD by e-mailing JDD. PETA has launched a new vegetarian campaign, against Burger King and Love All Animals has already started planning its demonstrations in KY and OH. Although we do not have a vegetarian campaign coordinator, we hope to get help from local groups in the Cincinnati Area, and Ryan Courtade, President of Love All Animals will be heading the demonstrations. Love All Animals will be holding protests against Burger King monthly starting in February. FARM’s National Meatout 2001 will occur on March 20, 2001. More information on this will be posted at http://www.meatout.org. Also more information on Love All Animals Meatout events will be posted on http://www.loveallanimals.com at a later time. National Spay Day is on February 27, 2001. Love All Animals will be asking veterinarians across the country to lower their prices for the general public. We encourage you to do the same. No decisions on whether an event will occur have been made. The World Week For Lab Animals is Apr. 24 - 29, 2001. An event will occur in Los Angeles, CA. The location will be announced and posted on our website. This event will have many speakers sponsored by Animal Defense League and Alternative Gathering Collective. Contact 310.572.6443 for more detailed information. On January 20, 2001, Ryan Courtade, President of Love All Animals went out with 6 other individuals to protest the “World’s Roughest Rodeoâ€, at the Firstar Center in Cincinnati, OH. Although it was the day after Cincinnati received some snow, the protesters were able to educate everyone that went into the Rodeo. They were also able to educate people through the media, and were able to get on the 11:00 news. Love All Animals will be trying a newsletter for every month. Planning is still being made, and many more decisions still have to be decided. We have obtained a wonderful and gifted person who is interested in organizing the newsletter. To reach her with your comments or submissions please e-mail Newsletter. Love All Animals has received many complaints about people not being able to contact the person the really are looking for. Most e-mails end up being sent to Ryan. So to save a hassle for us, and to save a hassle and a delay in answering your messages, Love All Animals has hired a talented young man to be our Online Relations. He will act as an operator on Love All Animals. If you do not know where your message should go, you should send it to LAARelations. There your message will be forwarded to the correct person. We still will encourage you to use our website for an up-to-date directory of volunteers Most Commonly Used E-mail Addresses Online Relations - LAARelations President - Ryan Research - Research CompassionFest2001 - Ryan Survey 2001 - Survey Open Jobs - Jobs Love All Animals Administer - Admin Love All Animals Web Designer - Webmaster Remember to Love All Animals! ***Love All Animals grants permission to Crosspost any and all messages sent out***
