Yes, I'm worried about most visible part of it When will appear movies were will be written that in movie was used soya meat? :-)Sergio Yah, I think this is a good point. The problem is not that there are tons of meat being eaten in movies, just that movies are a place that role models are show-cased for our society. For example, I saw " The Whole Nine Yards " the other night. The only people who smoked in the film, were the " bad " characters. It was a very clear association of smoking with deficient personality. I'm not meaning to critisize any smokers on this list. All I am saying is that as a non-smoker (and grateful to be one!), I felt glad to see this, because I think it creates a useful image for our society that is increasingly supporting non-smoking. I think this is the idea Sergio is getting at, and I agree. I have noticed more than once in recent years, that the " smart " characters in some movies, and sometimes even the hero or heroine, have been vegetarian. Not often yet, but I think it is likely to increase. I think such images DO impact on us in subtle yet powerful ways. Just by looking at how smoking behavior has changed in movies shows how movies at least reflect images in our society, even if they don't set them. Twenty or more years ago, the hero/heroine smoked because it was still thought to look cool. Now, the image is the opposite. So, I think we are learning! :-) And with that, I think vegetarian hero/heroines are in the process of becoming more common. Deborah
